Autex GreenStuf® Polyester AAB Acoustic Insulation Blanket
Autex Greenstuf® AAB Acoustic Insulation Blanket is a thermally bonded 100% polyester blanket having excellent acoustic transmission control and noise absorbing properties. Typical uses include insulation for stud walls and interior construction. Building uses include inter-tenancy fit outs, noise critical partitions in business offices, hospitals and other buildings. AAB is available in a range of densities and thicknesses to suit various applications.
Engineered for highly effective sound absorption
GreenStuf® AAB has been engineered to maximise sound absorption for the control of reverberated noise in building interiors. AAB is ideal for managing noise in theatres, studios, halls, offices, retail and indoor swimming pool complexes. It can also be used in marine applications, as acoustic baffles, and insulation for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).
Reduce sound reverberation to desired levels
Most interior environments benefit from at least some audible sound reverberation. The amount of reverberation which is considered to be appropriate is largely determined by the everyday use of the area. Cafés and dining areas generally would want to retain some echo as it contributes to a pleasant ‘buzzing’ environment. Other area such as commercial offices and meeting rooms will generally want a much more ‘dampened’ level of reverberation, in order to facilitate clear conversations and to minimise disturbances from things such as scraping chairs and doors opening and closing.
GreenStuf: unaffected by moisture
Durability: GreenStuf® has a 50 Year Durability Warranty.
Vermin: GreenStuf® is naturally resistant to insect and vermin attack.
Product Format: The product Nominal Thickness is the off-line manufactured thickness. Packaging, storage and handling may affect the “out of the pack” thickness. This is not considered a manufacturing fault. If thickness is critical to a particular installation please discuss this at the time of ordering.
Moisture: GreenStuf® is not affected by moisture. Exposure to an atmosphere of 50°C at 90% relative humidity for four days showed moisture absorption by weight of less than 0.03%.g
